Jess

I am…
AN EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATOR,
REAL + OPEN,
WELLNESS INNOVATOR,
YOGA TEACHER,
PUBLIC SPEAKER + LEADERSHIP FACILITATOR.
CANADA’S TOP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR.

No matter when or how you might encounter me, it is my goal that you walk away feeling loved, lighter, capable and as though you truly belong.

Years ago I stopped trying to fit into the boxes and moulds society had created for me. It took breakdowns in order to breakthrough and I had to muster up courage and creativity day after day but when I chose to listen closely to my heart I knew I had to carve a bold path for myself and support others who wanted to follow in a similar direction.

I want to share what I know with the intention that whatever holds you back from being fully self expressed and expansive in your world, dissolves. Let me guide you back home to yourself; the space where choice is restored and your unique gifts are excavated and ignited. Connected within community.

As a movement and health innovator, I embody both the Spiritual and Science. I want you to understand and integrate knowledge in a way that is sustainable and empowering. You are the expert of your own experience and I aim to guide you closer and illuminate your innate intelligence and knowing.

My mission is to support you in connecting deeper to yourself and your purpose. To learn how to lead from YOUR heart and live a deeply meaningful life.

LAURA

As a human first, 500YTT, artist, writer, human connector + educator of the Journey Home, my teachings invite us to tend to the intimacies and the intricacies of the human experience and the stories that our bodies hold.

I am a wave maker + heart weaver. I believe that the journey home is not a geographical location, but a trusted sense of self + moves through the world in a way that invites us to tend to the sacred nature of life. I create movements + moments for us to find belonging in and understand the power of personal story + human connection holding space for people to be seen, heard + held.

Finding the practice of yoga as a teenager, it became a place where I learned how to be in my body, move through emotion and take up space with grace. Understanding yoga to be a daily practice of remembrance I chose to complete my 500YTT with her teachers at Sempervivia Yoga + One Yoga for the People. Forever a student of the preciousness of life, I believe that the most powerful place we can be is in our bodies and creates a culture of care + embodied enoughness for us all to land inwards and move outwards with intention. With emphasis on mindful movements and breath, I teache through a trauma informed lens that weaves self-exploration, lightheartedness and the wisdom of the emotional / energetic body into practice, creating a personalized experience to support us in reconnecting to our feeling bodies.

My intention is that my teaching remind us to come as we are, for it all belongs.

Syd

I’m Sydney...and I’m REALLY curious... I want to know the why and how of almost everything, and I’m ESPECIALLY curious about what is going on with our bio/psycho/social anatomy...this is the foundation of my practice.

I create space- literally through bodywork and movement, and figuratively via exploration the mind/body connection. I have a deep appreciation for science and I also have an innate knowing that there are mysteries in our selves that are real despite quantifiable evidence.

My passion lies in a middle way, in bridging East/West/North/South philosophies of health and wellness BECAUSE I believe whole heartedly that traditional and modern methods of healing can and should meet in the centre.

I come to the Embodied Living team to TEACH from my curiosities, education, research, trainings, mentors, experiences, AND over a decade as a RMT & Yogi. My goal is to inspire you into exploring your world (inside and out), and to support you while you make the connections necessary to be HOME in your body and in FLOW with your life.

I was in my late twenties and had just finished university when my journey to healing really began. There I was with a great job, loving family and so many possibilities in front of me. Yet something was wrong, I had a lot of anxiety and I was generally unhappy and not only did have no answer as to why I felt this way, I also felt guilty about it given the numerous opportunities and good life I had been afforded so far.

I started exploring opportunities for healing which led me to yoga which ultimately changed my life and helped me to feel a lot better. I was and am a student of power yoga and the Baptiste Institute. I just wasn’t satisfied though with knowing that yoga worked for me. I wanted to understand how yoga works and I also wanted to help people who had yet to find a place on their mats. This led me to study with the Strozzi Institute and learn Somatic Coaching. In somatics we work with the body and mind together (much like yoga- but without the poses) to create freedom, ease and new pathways forward.

My absolute favorite thing to do is open a door in someone’s mind, to unblock something or reposition it so that you can have what it is you most want in your life. If you are experiencing frustration, stuckness or even just a general malaise please schedule a time for a quick assessment and let’s see if we can move that feeling out of your body and you forward.
